The Trail Saddle has come about after much thought and more shaping. You asked for a smaller seat option, and we listened. This saddle is light (9.5kg’s) and is made for those who don’t particularly fancy the Western feel. This is a quality saddle that does not just look pretty, but sure is comfortable over distance. Our recent 140km intense trip through the Drakensberg mountains proved that it not only allows the horse all the free movement (front & rear) that it needed to adjust to the steep terrains, but it was equally comfortable for the rider on all pressure points. We are very proud to offer you this premium riding piece.
We only ever use first grade, full grain leather. This means that it is the top layer of the hide with the most strength & long term character development. It will only look better with weather & wear. The hardware is either solid brass or stainless steel, & will not rub off. You may expect a beautiful patina build up on the hardware over time, again adding to the character development. The stirrups are covered with rawhide, giving it a signature look & sturdy step.
