The Wade Saddle is our premium riding piece. This offering comes with much thought & more reshaping. We sought the help of a friend & fellow saddle maker, Jaco Burger, to help us refine the foundation of the design. We have removed the horn, as there are folk who prefer it without. It has a slick fork, a 16” seat, an 8” gullet width & 8 1/4” gullet height. We only ever use first grade, full grain leather. This means that it is the top layer of the hide with the most strength & long term character development. It will only look better with weather & wear. The hardware is either solid brass or stainless steel, & will not rub off. You may expect a beautiful patina build up on the hardware over time, again adding to the character development. The stirrups are covered with rawhide, giving it a signature look & sturdy step.
